WIDE OPEN PLACES TO RUN PLAY AND EXPLORE

  Grand River Park

Adjacent to St Patrick’s Elementary school is Grand River Park. Featuring tranquil walking paths along the canal, pedestrian bridges over-top, and local pathway connections, this park is the perfect place to enjoy a serene walk, run, or spend some quality time with your loved ones.

  Rivermill Island Park

This is a small triangular green space or pocket park located in the heart of Rivermill Landing West. It features beautiful trees and colourful shrubs. Its primary purpose is an aesthetic complement to the neighbourhood. With a small amount of open space, this park is ideal for a game of tag or possibly even hide and seek.

  William Pearce Park

is a unique neighbourhood park featuring a small playground, a stocked pond and fishing deck. The park has a relaxed setting and combines the use of mature trees with open space that connects to the regional paved pathway and coulee trails. It incorporates many natural elements, including a canal that is integrated into the ornamental pond and waterfall. The park celebrates William Pearce, who in 1876, along with Dominion Land Surveyors, commenced laying out the grid system that included townships, ranges, sections and road allowances. In 1904 he joined the Canadian Pacific Railway as an official advisor on irrigation projects. He is known as the “Father of Irrigation” for his work in developing the layout for irrigation in the prairies.
